We need more engineering geologists! I’ve worked in geotechnical engineering and engineering geology for nearly 7 years in Texas and now offshore globally. There is a gap between geos and civil engineers that is often overlooked. Another important thing that engineering geologists do is to inform engineers where to sample. Offshore, geologists are critical for wind farm and pipeline surveys identifying hazards and locations that should be sampled for geotech tests. Keep up the good work all!
